Composing With Laundronium

hi this is Nathan from sound iron today I'm gonna walk you through my composition for long drone iam let's go ahead and hear what this sounds like [Applause] [Applause] everything you just heard was from the long journey in library no additional plugins or samples were used now we'll break this down track by track this drop-down menu item was made from an airy hiss of the washer it's also what I used for the solo sounds a little bit like a wind instrument I used the flat Tong sample as a cymbal the next track uses the wash cycle an octave lower and I put the LFO on it to make it a shaker sound the next two tracks are pan left and right and come from the ringing tongue with delay on them I used the machine knock as a kick drum the side pound with distortion made for a cool impact I also bounced that and reversed it for the intro I used the lid hit and dial click as the snare it also has delay the next track comes from the custom effects presets and was actually the inspiration for the track it's called all plucky here's another effects preset that uses the LFO filter and arpeggiator this is an organ made from a washer which I thought was pretty cool well that about wraps it up if you'd like to take a closer look you can download the reaper file and midi file in the description below please subscribe here for more videos like this and we'll talk to you soon
