heaven really exist and you know what’s gonna happen do I have to really go there alone starts swirling around the room and there’s a man and he he grabs hold of her hand and he says I’m not gonna let you go not even when you try to cross over to that other place we just have to believe it exists and we know there’s a god who’s gonna take care of you when you’re there you’re not gonna feel the pain exciting season for us as a band you know we really wanted to kind of kind of remember what it was like to sort of birth to see from kind of start to finish [Music] we went in making this record making a conscious effort to write songs that would hopefully inspire people that would what would dig a little deeper into you know into love and into love and lost feel like we we’ve made an album that that won’t simply connect on a music level with people that have connect on an emotional level on a spiritual level sounds just right just really feel like they have something important and powerful [Music] ah we really found that the road is it’s great for us simply because it gives us a chance to talk to our fans it gives us a chance to see the reactions on their face [Music] that’s so powerful when we know something we’ve written is connecting with them you know beyond simply just a good song I hope in 10 years were still making music still having fun he never would have thought eight years ago they’d still be doing this if we ever forget that it’s about the relationships then the music will either get in really fast or just fade away altogether [Applause] [Music] [Music] have you ever been haunted we have been by you have you ever felt measure of tears that I’ve spent waiting fight for you [Music] for the – one step from the shadows coming back again [Music] [Applause] the motions [Music] [Applause] [Music] my [Music] to make you search [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is a song that uh is taking on a lot of new meanings lately [Laughter] [Music] I am the only one to blame for this somehow it all ends up the same swerving on the wings of selfish pride flew too high like Icarus I collide the world I tried so hard to me I to grid myself for all but love to give enjoy [Music] turn away and not become another nail to pierce the skin one who loved more deeply than the oceans were bought and then the tears of a world embracing every heartache can I be one two sacrifice foregrip the spirit watch the blood [Music] set a standard or [Music] the life I ship not all six all I am to believe in the mercy that covers me in ten years I have to die for me oh I am for all you arcs what I need and whatever Oh sorry my [Music] take my world [Music] my on the stage your heart gets real range can tell your mentor from your maker we’re gonna grab a team of laughter over the way you went to Tainted back in car they don’t see behind the lights or the right away Teager and will huddle girl sometimes the streets will give [Music] [Music] and [Music] [Music] to stir [Music] [Applause] Thanks wanna think one of the cool things about playing the same song a billion times is you you have to change it you have to change it to enjoy it and that’s what we’ve tried to do here so now we enjoy it we yes we hope you enjoy it so sort of still hope we enjoy it as well [Music] Barmes live down I could send something I turned down a liver cell [Music] there [Music] are you down for nothing yeah so [Music] [Applause] yes is the one day one thing that [Music] you are my strengths my I decided I left up before [Music] my strengths Oh [Music] Oh [Music] Oh thank you we have a new record yeah probably be seeing that a lot excited to have one which means having new record means well you saw new songs so this is a new song if you put your arms around me could it change the way yes I let myself believe outside might just bleed its way in maybe stir the sleeping past lying under glass waiting for the kiss breaks this awful spell also long itself [Music] me yes change there’s something normal into something before I get from my reflection isn’t what see skin the reason to never keep you’re jealous laughs of mine do you see it all that ain’t goodbyes how long I’ve been waiting those [Music] change their something into something and to something [Music] as you stare right back down this is something beautiful [Applause] those fine change this into something to something into something into something good [Music] thank you so much Thanks [Music] this is going to be bottles of dude up the battle today that’s a classy little girl mayor’s west nice thank you but you nobody asked me none but I say I’m gonna kill y’all my song hey if y’all let me sang it on this TV show here oh who is that way make you a favor just try to play to the camera [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] there’s too much deception for [Music] it’s like you said away those can never like about the promise those things faster if I was not so scared girl [Music] bless ya Michele death [Music] to face the China [Music] expose beyond the shadows – hose becomes my piece [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] ah [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] recharge to play one world one music but hop hybrid jars of clay one world one music one hope one more time when you want one world one music is it strong enough that way is it do you think it’d be stronger than we’re interesting to do the different melody like oh no I think not that’s great all right you can there might be a course where you don’t just you just drop out there at the end with it like when you’re doing yeah I’m wondering if it even needs a bridge if we just need to do like a one empty course that no that’s that’s right yes [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] cheeks were 50 years and you all are good okay I can probably write anything writing to change that you know just charge the clay Thank You mr. man it rhymes with play today rhymes in the club you know just you just never listen to me I find it hard to talk to dance sometimes because he’s you know and then Matt I feel like Matt’s always talking to me you know he listens to everyone else and Charlie just kind of tells me a lot of what Matt’s saying to me about Dan I don’t know how much longer I’m gonna stay in this this bus you know and I I would and I’m just not a very good communicator I don’t like to talk so uh he’s really hard to talk to banana pudding [Music] pardon our keyboard player he has an eating disorder I think to the people that want something deeper and people that come that are tired out and hungry I would hope that they would walk away feeling that they were challenged or they were encouraged and that they’re reminded of the gospel and of God that loves us and wants to meet us in difficult places and that’s our prayer that that we would be worshiping and that the audience would be worshiping and that it would be a sweet aroma to the Lord and then it wouldn’t be us looking good or jars of clay his kingdom being built that it’s hard to swallow God’s love because we want to earn it and we want to deserve it and there’s no way we ever will but that’s that’s why it’s good news is because it’s handed to us as a gift freely we don’t have to do anything to earn it and I think that that was a really strong message of this tour and we’ve never been that outspoken about the gospel before and and I’m excited about that and I’m excited that we’re growing in that way and that that we feel confident doing that [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] right now our in-studio and we’ve been here for like six months so it’s about you know us it’s really easy in the studio to kind of get swallowed up in the creative process and really forget that um music is ultimately a forum for communication and ultimately a way to connect people a bridge between people that would maybe normally not have much in common a little more aggressive now [Music] yeah yeah yeah I’ll do that I need it all the time dang it [Music] okay 1b yeah that needs it that’s my suggested changing the sound and making it more aggressive [Music] it’s never how or why it works seems good to me [Music] yeah come on in I’m coming I’m coming [Music] and live if you get one shot I don’t like hey stop stop stop the show I didn’t like my solo playing live is is really exciting we’ve been in a season now where we’ve been making a record for nearly six seven months and and I really start to miss it live performing and touring is is you know obviously a wonderful kind of reminder of the power of music to really be a bridge between all sorts of different people and to connect different people you know to connect different kinds of people to uh to you know ideas or maybe just things that are true about all of us how is that going to translate to the audience and how can we engage them with this song and and a lot of times that means adapting it to the situation and we’re focusing on dynamic because it seems like live for us that dynamic is very important [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] now there’s there’s enough really good fans in the world the world doesn’t need any more really good bands that that’s saying nothing we live in a world that really you know there’s kids that don’t have any leadership they sort of you know they’re they’re fishing for something they want they want somebody to to maybe give them a direction or give them hope and you know we we have a great opportunity to speak to the hearts of people because we really believe that the gospel is the only thing that the truth truthfully honestly deals with the deeper heart issues so if that is the case then then what we have to offer young people and you know just anybody that comes to the show is is a you know a glimpse of truth and a glimpse of hope realizing now that after having done this for six years I’ve been almost every place in the United States at least a couple times now and I’m just you know occasionally I’m kind of blown away by how few people really ever travel out of there I have their own state I already get the opportunity to do that you know and so it’s a it’s a exciting privilege to be to be able to get to see on such a large scale what you know mostly this country is like but also to experience other cultures you know the road is in some ways like a camp experience because we’re all kind of you know together and and you’re together at camp [Music] [Music] me [Music] lovers could ever be [Music] you’re sure the crashing wave since I’m proud of my come to me [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] here’s where I see [Music] father his legs can ever trust with you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we’re on [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] right now we’re in studio and we’ve been here for like six months so it’s about you know there’s there’s things in this song that I feel like like I almost feel like the live drums I really feel like we’re gonna hear that’s gotta be something ya know you’re really kind of Paul Simon kind of Abrial too much to me sure maybe it it sort of becomes nortis yeah but you guys had a chorus like you think choruses can be very right the course to get it I really do I think I love the lyrics to the 11th hour was it was a title that we chose for this this record more because there was a song called the 11th hour on the record that just seemed appropriate and just the idea of the 11th hour that truly we are never we’re never to that point where we are beyond beyond help and beyond hope [Music] we decided to self-produce this record accidentally so it was never necessarily our original intention to kind of go into this doing it in-house yeah it’s finally working it through the whole bit it’s really yeah I like I like that it’s a really different vocal it takes that song out of like an ordinary thing and put it into a tip about do those strangers yeah I told Chris immediately a psychosis yeah for a few months we had been working on songs and writing and and demoing and realized that we had a we had a nice thing kind of going on there’s something really exciting about just taking on the entire creative process from beginning to end of making a record [Music] [Applause] we’ve grown up a little bit in terms of our understanding of music let alone how much the relationships have have grown and how we’ve weathered a lot of storms together a lot of mornings we would come in with with a sort of a blank canvas write a song that morning and then watch it develop throughout the the course of the day [Music] you know a lot of times we would all we’d all have our laptops we’d be sitting in a room and we listen to the instrumental version of the song and say well I think it conjures up this kind of an emotion or the song should be about this or that and generally will write tend maybe 15 songs if you pick the 10 or 11 in there that we’re most excited about in this record just because we have the time and we were in Steve’s basement and had a lot of freedom we ended up writing probably over 30 songs [Music] I really enjoyed the way that we wrote this record in the sense that we spent several days you know four of us or a couple of us kind of in the tracking room just really kind of patiently waiting for the song to kind of come together um you know passing around ideas and I just remember going in thinking man nothing nothing good is gonna happen today so I got this feeling that you know we’re not gonna come up with anything really exciting today and then watching the day sort of unfold and bringing a CD home with me at the end of the day what’s something that I really was was passionate about [Music] [Music] I feel like like God really does give people visions for what they’re supposed to be and the way things are supposed to go and and it’s great to have a team an extended team around unit that are part of fulfilling that vision because ultimately it was kind of our decision as as producers and artists for guys kind of pushing and pulling against each other to to make what we did the best it could be [Music] [Music] [Music] it means being involved in you know even the photo shoots the way we’re imaged as individuals and as as just this this band the packaging artwork the just a lot of the the other elements that surround an album whatever the four of us are excited about and whatever kind of whatever kind of gets us gets us going we sort of go for it and find someone in our team if we can’t do it ourselves of course kind of where I was playing that guitar [Music] right yeah [Music] race against the clock [Music] [Music] I just thought man this is this is capturing a moment that I don’t want to forget because I’m I’m with friends where we’re recording some really fun music and and just enjoying ourselves [Music] we really really wanted this record to inspire people and we feel like we’ve accomplished something in it and we’re very proud of just the entire process still a powerful feeling to know that someone across the world or even just across the country or across the street is identifying with something that you’ve written about and in in even a more emotional way because it’s put to music [Music] underground I’ll blame it on the teacher best songs so if you know the words when you can we grab a hammer Lucia [Music] yeah if you you should come lúcia as with most new projects different songs there would be a different picture on the cover yeah should be a different haircuts and some different clothes different shoes you won’t see much of the shoes but it’ll be newer than the other records the other actors were older than this one [Music]
