Musicians at TAMUK win International Horn Symposium in Belgium

a group of musicians from Texas A&M Kingsville blew away their competition at the international horn symposium in Belgium amazing marisa cummings is more on what these students did to win i'm standing with the javelina horns not only are they the best quartet in Kingsville but one of the best in the world that was put to the test in Belgium last month where the four students competed against several other groups at the international horn symposium it's amazing the drive and the exceptional group of students we have here at the University before the players are ready to fly off to Europe they spend months practicing several different songs to perform in front of a panel of judges just hours and hours and hours of practicing really hitting it hard and making sure that it was near perfect then it's game time they put their nerves aside and did what they do best we practiced so hard for it so I didn't have a doubt in my mind like I could trust these guys and it paid off the quartet beat out all the competition and put Kingsville on the map for the horn community they were told their seamless sound as a group is what set them above the rest our sound was very unique to what the other groups had had like we sounded like not as for horn players but as one playing like four lines of music at the same time if you want to hear these students play and many others like them at Texas A&M Kingsville the up concerts coming up in the fall marissa cummings three news all right fascinating way to go guys congratulations to them all
