See Which Artists Made 'Time's 25 Most Influential People On the Internet List | Billboard News

'Time' is back with its fifth annual roundup of the 25 most influential people on the Internet. On Tuesday, the magazine dropped its list, and this year, BTS, Lil Nas X, and Ariana Grande among others made the cut, but we’re really not all that surprised. BTS has been taking 2019 by storm. The K-pop superstars just released 'BTS World,' the soundtrack to their mobile game, which features artists from all over the world, including Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, and Juice Wrld. And on top of that, they also grossed over $50 million from just eight shows in May, marking the biggest one-month total of the year so far. Everyone knows Lil Nas X has been riding high after skyrocketing to fame with his smash "Old Town Road" featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. And on Monday, it was announced that the country-trap song has ruled the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 15 weeks, which means the 20-year-old rapper beat out Taylor Swift's "You Need To Calm Down," Post Malone's "Goodbyes," and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's "Señorita." It also means Lil Nas is just one week away from tying the record for the most time on top in the chart's history. Our girl Ariana has also been dominating the Internet. After going through some tough times in the public eye, Ari released one of her most personal and vulnerable albums to date, 'Thank U, Next.' And the project has been leading Nielsen Music's mid-year charts, ranking as the most popular album in the U.S. for the tracking period of January 4th through June 20th. Plus most recently, Ariana became the star of Givenchy's new campaign, nailed the cover of Vogue, and co-executive produced the soundtrack for the upcoming 'Charlie's Angels' film. You can check out 'Time’s full list, which also includes Cardi B and Diplo, on their site. And, of course, to stay up to date with all of your favorite artists keep it locked on Billboard.com. Until next time, for Billboard News, it’s your girl Jordyn Rolling.
