through all this data and analytics and your experience what have you found motivates people to become top performers what what is the key there and what motivates people varies right and and I believe that there's an acid test around whether or not an employee's engaged you have this I have this we all have this there's no way you can ignore these things but the way in which you rank them are totally personal and I think what motivates employees is this eight emotionally do I feel a cultural connection with the company too intellectually am i learning am i stimulated can I make a difference a sense of purpose the third one is probably the one I would say there's a little flag on this and that's financially it is up my view is if you come from money you also leave for it it'll end like a Hollywood wedding I hate to say it but it's not unimportant to hear it's not number one okay but it is it is it is important we're still there for for the dollar I think the fourth one which was kind of an ad in the last couple years just the careful observation is when I added called logistically as logistically is is this working for me or not so for revenue you know isn't as important what is the perk of the future you know we're here in Silicon Valley where it was free food and slides from the lobby down to the you know the next floor what what is the park in the future you know it's funny it's I always say we live in Paradise but really I mean I say oh they feed come early we feed you breakfast stay late with Bijoux dinner are you still feeling perky so you know I think the perk of the future is a little bit needs to be re-examined quite frankly so I think that these perks that have big-city panache those perks like you know a laundry service or like a cookie cart or a chef for breakfast lunch and dinner but I think is more meaningful are these benefits quite frankly that say to the employee your health your well-being is central to the success of the company we care about you some of those benefits could be adoption in vitro fertilization right how do we help with that the way in which we manage bereavements educational estate much more personal and caring level than giving you food they're fine right for drive-by perks what should potential future candidates let's talk about the employees what should they be doing to prepare themselves for this future of work the history of the way in which we looked out at town was always historic what have you done do you have a certain level of expertise so Emine my advice to two candidates my future is well you need to really you know ultimately have ideally a superpower in an area where you are know-it-all where you have a domain expertise knowing it's gonna change is that you're constantly reinventing yourself through learning you
