Using EVERY SINGLE Paint Tube I OWN!

Using EVERY SINGLE Paint Tube I OWN!

hello that so have you ever been in the situation where you're one of your favorite art supplies goes on clearance because I just experienced that and my bank account also experienced that basically my favorite paint is the liquitex heavy body professional quality paint but these tubes are very expensive they normally run from like between seven and fourteen dollars a tube and my local art shop clearance them out this one for example was one dollar seventy eight and you know that little voice in my head was just like buy all of them also please excuse the plastic bag this was unfortunately sent to me in a package and I didn't want it to go to waste so I'm now keeping all of my paints in there so I already own a few of these paints as it is and I just thought it would be really fun to combine the ones that I bought with the ones already own and just make painting with every single acrylic paint that I own because that's what normal artists do would you stop no let's make some art okay so this is my little container for my favorite paints right here I've used these liquitex heavy body paints for a few months now I want to say there are 12 different colors in here and I pretty much never stray from these specific twelve colors I also have some gesso I have some varnish but yeah those are the colors I currently have so I never actually counted how many paints that I picked up ok I just counted all of the paints that I bought and the grand total is 38 so in total including ones I already had I have 50 different colors of acrylic paint but I need to use in one painting so let's get started so I'm going to use an 8 by 8 canvas today just because I like smaller canvases but it's not too small it's like a good size between its it's medium so it's like between big and small so then I'm going to actually organize these by color to make sure that I use all of them ok so this is what they all look like lined up I put more in like shade order it's the pain they need ok so while I painted quickly at the start here I just wanted to mention that today's video is being really kindly sponsored by wicks white where's my whites there it is now wicks is basically a platform that allows you to build your own website which is incredibly professional and robust I personally use Wix for my online portfolio website as well as an online shop speaking of by the way when this painting is done if you would like to purchase it if you check out the link in the description that will take you to my Wix website and you can buy it on there but I honestly love using Wix it saved me so much money over the past a few months purely because every other platform I've ever used to sell all of my work on I've always been charged like a 5% fee a 10% fee which isn't like that you can build a portfolio you can build an e-commerce web store and it's just great to use if you are an artist or you're just someone that has their own business or you want to build a personal brand you can actually use hundreds and hundreds of their templates have unlimited pages all of it for free but if you did want to upgrade to one of their premium plans which I highly recommend you can actually get 15% off with my code Chloe Rose in the description so thanks to rich Wix for sponsoring today's video so this week on what does Chloe have on her head I have a hair band with Donald Duck's plushy feet on them because it was holding my hair out of my face under the paint so it took me a good hour before I actually realized that they were still on my head I just realized I'm siding with Donald Duck ears on do you see these I tell you I had them on my head so you're probably thinking to yourself Chloe that is a very well rounded bald that you have painted I would have to disagree with that because I think it's a very very wonky uneven ball that I've painted there also you might be wondering why I had all of this array of colors and I decided to go for something that had a blue sky and a blue ball and blue water but it does get a little bit more colorful you will see actually what I felt really good about this challenge can I call it a challenge it's kind of a challenge but not really a challenge you know because I'm using paint that I love and I'm painting so I do enjoy it but what's nice about it is that I have different shades of colors but I can actually use those different shades to mute other colors so for example mixing blue with orange I can kind of mute the view the blue a little bit but still be using that orange color even though you can't see it so while you are staring at a lot of blue right now you're also staring at various shades of orange that I have combined into it so I didn't want to really make something super colorful because I could just felt that would look silly says the girl with Donald Duck is on her head but still I wanted to like bring my idea to life you know and I suppose I should kind of explain what this is actually supposed to be so I am really trying to get into more like environmental pieces and be a bit more about the environment in real life as well so my overall style is making more like whimsical things as opposed to realism with acrylic painting so the idea behind this was to have a moon a nice big yellow moon that seems to have its own glowing internal source which is not actually how it works in the real world but we're just pretending that's how it looks and I wanted to make it look like the moon was actually in the water and I was actually really concerned for a very long time that the moon actually looked like it was supposed to be reflecting on the water and it just looked like I'd made a really bad reflection on the water but I think towards the end I kind of achieved what I hope to at least the hope I did felt like a rock at the bottom of the sea I can't really tell you'd be the judge look okay I can tell I don't want it to look like a really shoddy like reflection on the water because it's supposed to actually be dunked in the water because again that's definitely what's gonna happen in the real world what the idea behind this was was to have a visual representation I sound really artsy fartsy now but like an original representation of the environment and rising sea levels because of global warming and also you'll notice that I actually put some plastic and garbage in the sea and under the seat and represents the state of the oceans as well so really why did was made a moon that sort of look like a bit of cheese or a big cookie that was in the water to represent the rising sea levels to be like oh no look what we've done to the planet it's you know you know I mean I'm trying to like represent that so I pretty much put a big bear on the top of the moon purely because I love bears as you probably all know by now but I also wanted it to be like look what's happened to the animals you know they're being pulled out of their homes they're they're struggling and now you know if we don't take care of the environment they're having to like leave their environments and this one is stranded on top of the moon which again is a bit more of an artsy take on it but yeah that's what I was going with I'm not sure if I pulled it off or not I did work a little bit more on this piece towards the end off-camera because I had like five hours of footage five hours and I a lot off camera – that's er yeah I managed to get through the paint's okay I was left with a lot of reds though six colors left six left no like orangey Reds but I've only got six left yes because I wasn't really sure how to implement the Reds any more than I already had so I ended up putting a lot of like strokes of red on the red plastic cups under the water because it was the only place I could really use the Reds up but I still did it and I'm very happy I just don't even know what's wet it won't dry anymore to be honest also do you like my palette for an arm I hope you like it because that was accidental but it kind of looks cool that that's all the colors every single color it's done but it's not done but all the colors are in here so now I can actually finish it without worrying about all of these colors over here so that's good so were yes this is how it looks I am actually it's growing on me because I felt like it was missing a bit of something but I kind of fixed it a bit off camera and this is just what it turned out like and it was a really fun challenge I'm really happy with how it turned out I would really like to hear your opinions on it as well also remember that the original is up on my website I will have prints for it very very soon but I'm actually very busy this week because I am going to VidCon I am very excited for that if you're going to that too then don't let me know in the comments down below and yes thank you so incredibly much for watching this video I really hope that you enjoyed it thank you so much to Wix for sponsoring this video today and yes thank you again for watching take care of yourselves and I will see you in the next video
