WOOD BURNING for the FIRST TIME *HOT*

WOOD BURNING for the FIRST TIME *HOT*

hello and compliments of the season I’ve decided that’s my new
intro so don’t know how you guys feel about that I hope you’re watching this
as you may have seen in my raiding arts stores video I bought these
they don’t wooden this I think these are meant to be rustic coasters but today that’s right I’m gonna have a go at
using this baby in my eyes this is the equivalent of
drawing the fire because it’s a wood burner and that means it burns I’ve
never ever used one of these before it might be better soldering iron which is
something you used to kind of melt jewelry together I let’s fight it I
never know when I do these videos whether it’s gonna be a fail and but you
know you have to have go a thing hopefully both together in this video I
used to be really obsessed with nothing and burning things both again I remember
when I ate baby bells I used to roll the wax into a little ball and then melt it
over the entire radiator in order this just me remembering the instructions for
technology like this since this could be a dangerous tool I think I probably
should hang on there are no instructions guess I’ll just try not to set myself on
fire it comes with these different shape snips which are quite satisfying I have
no idea what this pie is for I’m a professional artist
speaking of professional let’s get started with this wood burner so I’ve
drawn my design in pencil upon the wood and a disc so it was inspired by when I
was I believe 70 but I think I’m going to fill it in there as best as I can
with the wood burner filling in these shadows in the mountains behind it
hopefully it will look okay let’s give it a go there’s a dial here to control
the heat and it’s tiny the lowest is 200 the highest is 450 so I guess I’ll put
on about 300 the back is a bit skanky so I’m just gonna practice on this quickly
to see what it feels like it kind of creates a bit of a lump oh my gosh I can
smell burning wood when you know it’s hard not to get the kind of lump of burn
if you know what I mean it’s hard to get a smooth line maybe I should go with one
of these smaller tips I have here I’m gonna I’m gonna let it cool down and
change the tip guys I was a complete idiot and I touched the tip cause it was
too hot I already burned myself and I burn the table okay what should I
start with I’m gonna start or can you see that that’s smoking wood
or is it longer so to annoy me you know what it’s meant to be a mountain and
mountains aren’t smooth so really are you being realistic burnt wood smells
amazing the thing about this is if I make a mistake there is definitely no
erasing it okay I’m gonna try and burn my bearing
now I’m gonna leave these mountain shadows to the smaller tip I don’t know
how to fill in this bear ideally I would like a silhouette I just don’t know
whether I’d get even black across the whole bear if I try to fit it in so I’m
just gonna do like a crosshatch on shade or do the outline first this is
definitely harder than it looks it’s all wobbly if the smoke alarm goes
off this is gonna be very awkward why does that fit look like a Grinch fur
looks like the Grinch is firm I’m just gonna try and fill in the whole
thing I’ve messed it up too much to not to do that hopefully if it’s uneven
it’ll just look like fur so this is all the fur finished I’m really happy with
how this looks it does actually look like fur
surprisingly I’m now gonna try and crosshatch all these shadows into the
mountains I’m just gonna try and apply a light pressure onto the shadow areas
it’s quite annoying how it leaves a tiny dots but I think that’s just me being a
perfectionist once I rubbed out all the pencil lines
it should look okay right now I finished the shadows I’m gonna rub out all the
pencil lines it’s so weird rubbing out because it feels like I’m gonna smudge
it but obviously I’m not because it’s wood I’m so happy with how this has
turned out for my first go I think that’s pretty cute I hope you can tell
what their mountains I think you can tell what their mountains for this wood
chunk I think I’m going to do a Disney design I think I’m gonna attempt doing
rafiki’s Simba painting that he does on a tree I remember when I was younger and
I watched Lion King for the first time I actually cried about how cute baby
symbols you know when Rafiki holds it up at the very beginning I cried that how
cute it was it’s a cartoon lion his tail does look abnormally long but that’s
literally how long it is in that in the drawing that Rafiki does so blame
Rafiki for the disproportion not me Rafiki would definitely bash me on the
head for insulting his beautiful drawing I’m sorry Rafiki I’m also going to draw
out the quote right now oh this design has a lot less room for
mistakes because I’m not doing that the FIR fect I wonder if I just press down on the
word it would burn all the way through let’s not try that in this for you I’m
just gonna do some watercolor on the shaded parts and because I feel like
that will use the softest coloring the quote that I wanted to go with was
Rafiki talking about learning from the past but that was a very long quote so I
went with this one instead it’s still a really nice moment in the film and I
feel like with the Lion King live-action one if anyone’s seen it they really
missed the trick with just skipping or rafiki’s character because he was
probably one of the main parts of liking that made it as good as it was to me
rafiki’s character bought all of the impactful messages to the movie and the
remake literally just missed out his entire character okay this writing is so wobbly as long
as you can tell what the word says hopefully whose idea was it to do
writing with the web banner what do you guys think about all the new live-action
remakes being made are you for or against and that is the finished piece I am
really happy with this one as well and I think the writing could have been better
but it still works I do prefer this one just because the fur looks really
realistic anyway but yeah this one’s still cute and I’ll probably put these
anyway thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you next time you
